5/4 Press Release from Sun Prairie Fire & EMS
On Monday evening, Sun Prairie Fire & EMS was dispatched to Hickory Hills Drive in the City of Sun Prairie for the report of a vehicle crash involving a structure and with the vehicle on fire.
The vehicle left the road on Hickory Hills Street and struck two three-unit residential buildings in the 900 block of Hunter’s Ridge Trail. Sun Prairie Medic Unit 74 was first on scene and reported the driver was out of the vehicle and the fire was spreading to the building.

Madison Engine 11 assisted Sun Prairie Fire & EMS with connecting to a fire hydrant for water and forcible entry through a garage door.
Sun Prairie Building Inspection assisted on scene and confirmed no eminent structural compromise. Sun Prairie Utilities assisted with isolation of electrical hazards and Sun Prairie Police assisted with evacuation of residents and scene control.
The driver of the vehicle was transported with injuries unknown at this time.
Three residential units sustained damage to the building, but all would be able to stay in their homes.
