The Girl Scouts of Troop 2100 are bringing a little ‘FUN’ to Sun Prairie with a Puzzle and Game drive for the Public Library.

The project is part of their work on the Girl Scout Bronze Award. This is the highest honor a Junior Girl Scout (4th–5th grade) can earn, requiring them to work as a team to address a community issue. To earn it, Juniors must complete a Journey, create a Take Action project with a suggested 20 or more hours of service, and make a sustainable, positive impact.

This project started when a group of Girl Scouts reached out to the library to see if there was a need there. It began with the idea of a lending library of toys and games, and then grew into a new game and puzzle collection to support the recently remodeled youth section.

The girls’ goal is to help our community’s youth have fun, be safe, make friends, and engage with each other without screens or technological devices. They’re specifically looking for games that are appropriate for ages 6-12.

At this time any donations will become available for check out and/or use on site. The Scouts are hoping to see this grow into a regular community or family game night at the library.

Games or Puzzles can be dropped off at the following locations:
– I’m Board – 2816 Prairie Lakes Dr – until 4/18
– Sun Prairie Farmer’s Market
Westside Community Services Building – 9am – 11am on April 11th
– Girl Scout Leadership Center – 4801 S Biltmore Ln, Madison
Collection box in front lobby until 4/18
